MOTION OF EPSA FOR LEAVE TO INTERVENE, TAMPA ELECTRIC COMPANY

III.

On December 15, 1999, Tampa Electric Company (Tampa Electric) filed revised tariff sheets seeking to include a new Generation to Schedule Imbalance (GSI) Service in its Open Access Transmission Tariffs. In a Notice of Filing issued December 22, 1999, the Commission set January 6, 2000 as the deadline for timely interventions and protests. EPSA filed a timely Motion for Leave to Intervene in that proceeding.

On January 14, 2000, Tampa Electric filed a request that the Commission defer action on its filing, pending a further request for Commission action by Tampa Electric. On February 2, 2000, Tampa Electric filed revised tariff sheets, again asking the Commission to authorize a new "Generation to Schedule Imbalance Service" or GSI Service.
