RE: Docket No. PL01-5—Technical Conference on RTO Interregional Coordination Under Order No. 2000 (Function 8)

Harvey J. Reed, Managing Director, would address interregional coordination issues among the three Northeast ISOs and between them and the incipient RTOs in the Midwest region (the Alliance RTO and the Midwest ISO). In addressing these issues, Mr. Reed will discuss the importance of synchronizing the market designs between the ISOs, as well as insuring that the as yet to be developed spot markets (congestion management and balancing markets) in the Midwest are integrated with the developed (albeit imperfect) systems in the Northeast.
