In an Order issued December 14, 2001, the Commission granted an extension of time for the deadlines established in the initial Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANOPR) in this proceeding. Pursuant to that Order, a single consensus document was to be filed on January 11, 2002, and comments on that document and the issues identified in the ANOPR are to be filed on or before January 25, 2002. The undersigned, the American Public Power Association (APPA), the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), the Edison Electric Institute (EEI), the Electric Power Supply Association (EPSA), the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC), the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA), and the Project for Sustainable FERC Energy Policy, representing a broad coalition of trade associations whose members are actively involved in the ANOPR process, respectfully request a brief extension in the deadline for filing comments herein. Specifically, we ask the Commission to grant a one-week extension in that deadline, making comments in the ANOPR due on February 1, 2002.
