EPSA Names New Chairman and Executive Committee Members for 2010

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Electric Power Supply Association (EPSA) has announced the names of its new chairman and other officers and at-large members of its Executive Committee for 2010.

Clarence (Joe) Hopf, Jr., President of PSEG Energy Resources & Trade, has been unanimously elected EPSA's new chairman for 2010 by its board of directors. Mr. Hopf was named president of PSEG Energy Resources & Trade in June 2008. Prior to joining PSEG, he was president of PPL EnergyPlus in Allentown, PA, since 2006. Before joining PPL in 2005 as a senior vice president, he served as a vice president at Goldman Sachs in New York and, before that, at AmerenEnergy in St. Louis. Hopf succeeds Bruce Levy, President of International Power America, who had been chairman since 2007 and remains on the Executive Committee.

EPSA also announced that Jack A. Fusco, President and CEO of Calpine Corp., will assume the role of EPSA's first vice chairman; Ronald L. Litzinger, President and CEO of Edison Mission Group, will become EPSA's second vice chairman; Zin Smati, President and CEO of GDF Suez Energy, NA, will serve as the association's secretary; and John O'Neal, Senior Vice President and CCO of Mirant Corporation will become treasurer.

Serving as at-large executive committee members are: Bruce Levy, President of International Power America; Kenneth Cornew, President of Exelon Power Team; Mark Jacobs, President and CEO of RRI Energy, Inc.; Gary Morsches, President and COO of Conectiv Energy Supply, Inc.; and Mark Quartermain, President of Shell Energy North America.

EPSA is the national trade association representing competitive power suppliers, including generators and marketers.
