EPSA Commends Reps. Dingell and Boucher for Leadership on Climate Change White Paper, But Stresses Need for Uniform National Policy
Washington, D.C. -- The Electric Power Supply Association (EPSA) today released the following letter to U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman John Dingell (D-Mich.) and Subcommittee on Energy and Air Quality Chairman Rick Boucher (D-Va.) commending the chairmen for their leadership and thoughtful approach to climate change evidenced by the release of the white paper Climate Change Legislation Design: Appropriate Roles for Different Levels of Government.
EPSA agreed with Reps. Dingell and Boucher that states and regions play an important role in the climate change debate, but in its letter EPSA further underscored the need for a consistent, uniform national policy that maintains America’s economic competitiveness. The white paper was released by Reps. Dingell and Boucher in February as the third in a series of white papers on the design of climate change legislation.
