EPSA Expands Staff with New Director of Legislative Affairs

John E. Shelk, President and CEO of the Electric Power Supply Association (EPSA), today announced the addition of Cherie Harris to EPSA's legislative team as Director of Legislative Affairs. Most recently, Ms. Harris served as director of federal affairs for Constellation Energy, where she worked in the company's Washington, D.C. office and specialized in climate change and environmental policy.

"Cherie's knowledge of energy issues and her former experience in Congress are a welcome addition to EPSA's legislative affairs outreach. EPSA is fortunate to have Cherie joining us at a critical time for the competitive power sector and the electricity industry," Shelk said.

Prior to her time at Constellation, Harris served as a senior policy advisor to the Senate Special Committee on Aging for Senator Herb Kohl, D-Wis. and as a legislative assistant to former U.S. Rep. Albert R. Wynn, D-Md. on matters related to his Energy and Air Quality Subcommittee assignment on the Energy and Commerce Committee, as well as on health care policy.

Harris earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
